The national organization, whose University affiliate is the Progressive Student Alliance, will meet to hold workshops on various issues including the legacy of Christopher Columbus. Bernon Bellecourt, a leader of the American Indian movement will give the keynote address at 9:45 a.m. in Bodek Lounge. About 150 student activists from the East coast and the Midwest will participate in the conference, PSA member David Saries said yesterday. At noon a speaker will explain the group's opposition to the proposed demolition of Smith Hall and construction of the research laboratories. The group will then hold a demonstration at Smith Hall at 1 p.m., Saries said. -- Christine Lutton
