Nominations and Elections Committee Chairperson Tanya Young said last night that no Nursing students turned in petitions yesterday to campaign for the vacant UA seat, which no one filled last spring. Young said the deadline for submissions has passed and she does not think the school can get any last-minute nominees. She added that this is the first time she knows of that a school is not represented on the ballot in two consecutive elections. The NEC head said 24 freshmen are running for the eight openings and three Engineering students will campaign for the one vacant spot. -- Roxanne Patel
