The results were not announced last night, and no one from the current senior board could be reached for comment on when the results will be released. But College junior Jacob Ufberg, who is running for treasurer, said members of the board told him last night the winners would be informed of the outcome either late last night or early this morning. An election held Monday and Tuesday narrowed the field to 17 candidates. College junior Marisa Sifontes was disqualified on Sunday because she was directly quoted in a Daily Pennsylanian story on her election to the presidency of the Black Inter-Greek Council, senior class board treasurer Mike D'Esopo said last night. On Monday, he said the senior class board decided to disqualify Sifontes simply because she was "mentioned in the DP during campaigning." The rules governing the election restrict candidates' exposure and publicity during the campaign. -- Scott Calvert
