Jerald Murr was repairing a light fixture on the west side of High Rise North when he radioed to other workers saying his ladder collapsed underneath him, Physical Plant workers said Tuesday. A Philadelphia Fire Department rescue unit treated him for possible spinal injuries, fractured ribs, and a compound fracture of his right ankle. He was taken to HUP emergency and admitted to HUP Tuesday night. No further information about his status was known at press time. - Emily Culbertson
