The Student Choice awards honor a “dedication in teaching, mentorship and student advocacy." Penn Engineering faculty are eligible to receive five awards — each recognizing support of students and intellectual development.

Penn MMA, which was founded in the 2023 fall semester by College senior Maximilian Chan, trains and practices mixed martial arts — a full-contact combat sport featuring techniques from various martial arts from around the world. 

The initiative, which provides career-building opportunities for city residents, received the donation through Scott’s charitable organization Yield Giving.
