Flanked by two burly security guards, U.S. conservative writer and activist David Horowitz posed the question to a packed crowd: are we all being indoctrinated? Last night, the Penn College Republicans brought Horowitz to Huntsman Hall to discuss his latest book, One-Party Classroom: How Radical Professors at America's Top Colleges Indoctrinate Students and Undermine Our Democracy.

Last night Michael Oren, a New York Times best-selling author and the CBS Middle East expert, spoke to a standing-room-only crowd in the Shotel Dubin Auditorium at Hillel's Steinhardt Hall. In a talk sponsored by Penn Hillel, Oren described four existential crises Israel presently faces to a crowd of both students and local residents alike.

To kick off Penn's Education Week, Alan Kors described the current generational student body as both "victims of generational swindle of epic proportions" and the "best generation that has ever been on a college campus." Kors delivered the keynote address, entitled "The Generational Swindle: Students and Liberty," last night in Huntsman Hall.

Last night, business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi embraced the relationship between business and philanthropy at its second annual corporate benefit in the Woodlands Ballroom of the Inn at Penn. The corporate benefit is Alpha Kappa Psi's signature event and one of the largest philanthropic events on campus.
