At the end of a historic week, marked by the results of the presidential election on Tuesday night, Penn Cross Country added a little history of their own, with the women’s team earning the program’s first selection to the NCCA Championships, placing third at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday “It is very exciting,” Coach Steve Dolan said after learning that the women’s season would continue for one more week.

The men’s cross country team started Postseason racing with a bang on Saturday, as they captured their first Ivy league title in 43 years.

In sports, it is good to have a short memory. So far this season, Penn women’s soccer has shown that's exactly what they have, downing non-conference opponent Delaware State on Tuesday night, 4-0, following a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Columbia over the weekend.

A controversial foul call in the 29th minute proved to be the difference on Saturday, as Harvard senior Midge Purce’s penalty kick gave the Crimson a 1-0 victory over the Quakers in the Ivy League opener.

Most students on campus last Friday stayed cooped up in an air-conditioned room, shying away from the unbearable Philadelphia heat. The Penn cross country teams did not.

Penn for Jeb, a political group backing Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, is still in the process of getting the word out via their Facebook page. 

On Tuesday night, the Government and Politics Association brought former Senator Mark Pryor to speak at Penn.
