AP test takers on the rise

After a public demonstration on College Green on Friday afternoon in response to the New York Police Department’s undercover surveillance, the Muslim Students Association is now planning a “Know Your Rights” event to educate students on their rights when dealing with law enforcement.

Wharton MBA students proved they have just as much musical talent as business skills this weekend. Wharton Follies, founded in 1976, is Wharton’s MBA comedy and music performance troupe and one of the largest and oldest performing arts groups of its kind.

Earlier this month, GSE professor Shaun Harper launched the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education. The Center was created in order to consolidate the research Penn professors and students are conducting on the issues of racial equity and social justice.

At a town hall meeting on college affordability, the leaders — which included names like Philadelphia Mayor and 1979 Wharton graduate Michael Nutter and former Pennsylvania Gov. and 1965 College graduate Ed Rendell — ran through different ideas to help keep college costs down at Penn and across the nation.
