Following the shooting, Yiannopoulos’ upcoming speech at University of California, Davis was cancelled, according to Inside Higher Ed. Protesters on the campus similarly “blocked access” to the hall were Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak, prompting the student Republican club to call off the speech due to concerns over student safety.

There are currently 18 English majors and no philosophy majors out of the approximate 1,100 students attending Colby-Sawyer College. Over the past four years, enrollment has decreased from 1,500 students to the current 1,100.
