For the afternoon, College and Wharton students alike came together for the first annual Wharton Business Law Conference, learning from some of the nation’s top law firm partners and executives about the practice and importance of business law.

Starting Friday afternoon, Natives at Penn — a student organization representing American Indian, Native Hawaiian and Alaska Native students on campus — hosted the All-Ivy Native Conference, one of the two times of the year when the communities at all Ivy League universities get together.

Professor Tukufu Zuberi received the Best Documentary Film Award and the Best Director Award at the 2013 San Diego Black Film Festival for his film, “African Independence,” a feature-length documentary on the African continent’s evolution since colonization.

Repairs of the electrical wiring of Chi Omega’s chapter house, located at 3926 Spruce St., were completed ahead of schedule, and the chapter will move back in on March 4 and 5.

The men’s and women’s squads finished seventh and sixth out of eight, respectively, in the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships held at Harvard University.

With the two wins this weekend, it is the first time in program history that Penn has improved its win total in three straight seasons.

After a 79-71 win over Cornell Friday night, the Quakers couldn’t get past a Columbia team which had lost seven of its previous eight games, losing to the Lions, 58-41.

Tony Hicks already has the flash and flair to make himself look good. That said, it will be his ability to make his teammates look good too that will determine whether Penn reclaims the Ivy crown in his time.
