Mens Basketball defeats UMBC in 2012-2013 season opener

Despite coming into the season with just four career points, Lucas-Perry has made a big impact for the Quakers this season in a small role. The sophomore guard has played a pivotal part in two of Penn’s three victories, contributing 15 points against UMBC and scoring the final five points against NJIT.


Not only has President Gutmann failed to show leadership in diversifying the highest levels of University administration, those individuals appointed by President Gutmann have often modeled her example and made similarly nondiverse appointments of vice provosts, associate deans and other high-ranking administrative staff.

Bringing a widespread trend to campus, the Kelly Writers House hosted their second annual Edible Books Party last night. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, students recreated popular literary titles using food and their imaginations, filling the dining room table with anything from ketchup on rye bread to “Steve Cobs” — a portrait of the late Apple founder composed mostly of corn.

While the new West Philadelphia Shake Shack location will be on Drexel’s campus, Penn retailers are not worried about business. The restaurant will be coming to 32nd and Chestnut streets this summer, an expansion from its Center City location which opened last June on 20th and Sansom.
