Two wallets were reported missing among this week's crime log.

Retail Theft:

Feb. 12: The complainant reported that two suspects placed merchandise in their bags and left Wawa without paying. The suspects were stopped by police and arrested. The incident occurred at approximately 11:51 a.m. at 3604 Chestnut Street.

Feb. 13: At the CVS store at 3925 Walnut Street at approximately 9:22 a.m., the suspect took merchandise and exited the store without paying. 

Theft from building:

Feb. 12: The complainant reported her wallet missing from her purse. The incident occurred at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine at 12:30 p.m.

Feb. 13: The complainant reported her personal belongings were moved around and some were  missing when she returned to her room. There were no signs of forced entry. The incident occurred at 4056 Irving Street at approximately 12:00 p.m.

Feb. 13: The complainant reported leaving his laptop unattended and finding that it was gone upon return. The incident occurred at David Rittenhouse Laboratory at 5:20 p.m.

Theft (other):

Feb. 12: The complainant reported her wallet missing from her purse. The incident occurred at the 4000 block of Walnut Street at approximately 2:15 p.m. 

Feb. 13: The complainant reported copper lines removed from the A/C units. The incident occurred at 4200 Walnut Street at 3:20 p.m.

Fraud:

Feb. 13: The complainant reported unauthorized charges were made on her bank debit card. The incident occurred at 4000 block Sansom Street at 12:11 p.m.

Burglary:

Feb. 10: The complainant reported personal items missing from his apartment. There were no signs of forced entry. The incident occurred at 3900 Pine Street at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Fire incident:

Feb. 9: The complainant reported a fire of unknown origin. An empty box was burnt. The fire was contained and fully extinguished. There was no other damage to the property PFD cleared the scene for reentry. The incident occurred at 3809 Locust Walk at 2:35 a.m.

Vandalism:

Feb. 8:  The complainant reported hearing loud banging at the front door and hearing glass shatter. A witness saw several juveniles break the glass to the front door window and then fled the scene. This occurred at 3924 Spruce Street at 8:06 p.m.

Aggravated Assault:

Feb. 7: The complainant reported a former employee threatened him with a gun. The incident occurred at the McDonald’s at 3935 Walnut Street at 11:08 a.m.

Assault:

Feb. 7:  The complainant was crossing the street on foot when a driver in vehicle honked his horn at him. While the car was stopped at the light, he exchanged words with the suspect, who exited his car and struck the complainant. The complainant fell to the ground and struck his head. The suspect fled the scene in his car. The incident occurred at the 3000 block of Walnut Street at 9:55pm.

Terroristic threat:

Feb. 7: The complainant reported that The Fresh Grocer received a threatening phone call. The call was made at 9:26 a.m.
