Bill Ding, 2016
UA Wharton Representative, UA Vice-President
My name is Bill Ding and I am running to be your UA Vice President along with my running mate, Aidan McConnell. After serving on UA for three years, I think UA is now detached from YOU, the student body. When Aidan and I collect signatures, some of our peers do not know what UA is or what UA does.. We, as representatives of UA, should listen to what YOU say and do what YOU need. Along with my running mate Aidan McConnell, I envision an Undergraduate Assembly that harnesses the determination of each student to directly impact and shape university policy, implementing a PennHelp chat room/discussion service for campus services via Canvas. If YOU want a UA that really represents YOU, please vote Bill Ding for UA Vice President and Aidan McConnell for UA President. We are working for YOU.
David Cahn, 2018
UA Wharton Representative, 2018 Wharton Chair
My name is David Cahn and I am running for re-election to the UA as a Wharton Representative and for election to Class Board as Wharton Chair. In the past year, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to the students I represent, leading the way on Penn’s Language Exchange program, making sure that reversed classrooms (SAIL classes) are labeled on PennInTouch, and working to increase access to chargers in libraries. I am focused on delivering students tangible results. But I don’t forget the bigger issues. This year, I was a key sponsor on a resolution to fund a longer international student orientation (ISO) – a resolution that ultimately passed the body. During budget negotiations, I fought to reduce funding to PennLabs, which botched the launch of the PennMobile app, but nonetheless receives $16,000 in annual funding.
Vote David Cahn for Wharton Rep. & Wharton Chair. Together, We Cahn Do It.
Samantha Shea, 2018
UA Wharton Representative
Greetings fellow Whartonites! I am Samantha Shea and I am running for Wharton UA Representative. Many students think I am from Texas, (it must be the cowboy hat and boots) but I am from Pennsylvania’s neighbor, New Jersey!
Now with Spring Fling coming up, and summer not too far behind, we all want to be in shape right? How do we do that, we go to the gym! Say it’s your first time at the gym, and you don't know how to use a machine, you’ll want a trainer! Well, you better sign up…I’m number 41 and have been since October! As a member of the UA I look into this problem to ensure that trainers are more accessible to everyone.
I’ve only named one thing I would work on, if you want to know more, send me an email at sshea@wharton.upenn.edu, and remember to vote Shea for UA.
