While many on Penn's campus found a new home with Greek life in the past few weeks, some others weren't quite as enthralled with the rushing system.
Daily Pennsylvanian columnist Dani Blum wrote about her rushing experiences for The Daily Beast. Blum went into it just for the experience, not intending to actually pledge, and provided a look from inside rush that isn't often found.
"I don’t want to miss out on an experience I’ve heard described as everything from Disney World to hell on earth: rushing at Playboy’s number one party school," Blum wrote.
Blum went through "The Process," which she described as bizarre. While she acknowledged the positives of Greek life, she also wrote about its issues.
"But there’s an aura of fakeness and an inherent sexism involved with rush that make me uncomfortable," Blum wrote.
