Robbery:

Sept. 11 – A 20-year-old female student stated she was walking on the 3900 block of Baltimore Avenue at around 11:45 p.m. when she was approached by a suspect who tried to grab her cell phone out of her hand. She screamed, and the suspects — a 16-year-old unaffiliated juvenile and a 19-year-old unaffiliated male — were apprehended by University City Patrol.

Vandalism:

Sept. 10 – A 20-year-old female student reported that upon returning to her locked bike at the 100 block of S. 40th Street at around 11:30 p.m., her tires were slashed and an additional U-lock was placed on it with a note.

Sept. 10 – A 44-year-old male employee of the Veterinary Hospital on 3900 Delancey Street reported that while a VHUP golf cart was charging, it was pushed over with its windshield smashed on the ground at around 10 a.m.

Narcotics:

Sept. 12 – A 19-year-old unaffiliated male was observed at the 3900 block of Market Street, in an area known for narcotic activity discarding narcotics from left hand onto the ground at around 6:30 p.m. He was arrested.

Sept. 7 – A 23-year-old unaffiliated male of the 300 block of Busti Street had his vehicle stopped for investigation at the 4200 block of Market Street at around 10 p.m. and was arrested for carrying illegal controlled substances.

Sex Offense:

Sept. 13 – A 56-year-old unaffiliated female reported that an unknown suspect indecently assaulted her at the 3000 block of Walnut at around 5:45 p.m.

Sept. 11 – A 26-year-old unaffiliated female reported that an unknown suspect indecently assaulted her at the 4000 block of Ludlow Street at around 2 p.m.

Sept. 8 – Two unaffiliated people were involved in a confidential sex offense incident at the 3600 block of Market Street at 11:30 a.m.

Assault:

September 13 – A 19-year-old unaffiliated female reported that a known suspect threatened her bodily harm at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on 3401 Civic Center Boulevard at around 9 p.m.

September 10 – A 24-year-old female employee was assaulted by a 45-year-old unaffiliated female suspect of 4400 Ludlow Street at the 4200 block of Walnut Street at around 3:30 p.m.

Other Offense:

September 8 – A 25-year-old unaffiliated male reported that he was threatened by a known suspect at the Penn Bookstore on 3601 Walnut Street at around 6:45 p.m.

Harassment:

September 8 – A 35-year-old female Penn employee reported being harassed by a 35-year-old male suspect at the Chemistry Building on 231 S. 34th Street at around 5:15 p.m.

Fraud:

Sept. 7 – A 43-year-old unaffiliated female of the 3900 block of Lancaster Avenue was arrested for attempting to cash a check owned by Complainant for USCfor money at TD Bank at 3735 Walnut Street at around 6:15 p.m.

*Auto Theft: *

Sept. 8 – An unaffiliated male reported at around 7:15 p.m. that a family relative’s vehicle had been missing for quite some time at the 4200 block of Chestnut Street.

Sept. 8 – An unaffiliated female reported that when she returned to her vehicle at the 3800 block of Chestnut at around 12:15 p.m., it was gone.

Theft:

Sept. 13 – A 23-year-old female student had her iPhone stolen from her purse by an unknown suspect at Drinkers West on 3900 Chestnut Street at around 10:45 p.m.

Sept. 13 – A 37-year-old unaffiliated male reported that an unknown suspect came into the 7-Eleven on 4201 Walnut Street, grabbed candy and DVDs and ran out without paying at around 3 a.m.

Sept. 12 – A 35-year-old male employee reported that his MacBook was taken from his unsecured and unlocked office at the James D. Dunning Jr. Coaches Center on 231 S. 33rd Street at around 7 p.m.

Sept. 12 – A female employee at Presbyterian Hospital on 51 N. 39th Street reported that an unknown person took her computer tablet and accessories at around 12:15 p.m.

Sept. 12 – A 29-year-old male student left his iPhone unattended, and it was taken by an unknown suspect at the Schattner Building on 240 S. 40th Street at around 11:30 a.m.

Sept. 11 – Two students, a 23-year-old male and a 24-year-old female, reported that an unknown suspect took their property from their suite at 3330 Walnut Street at around 3:45 p.m.

Sept. 11 – An unaffiliated male reported that an animal control pole was stolen from the back of his truck at the 200 block of S. 38th Street at around 1:45 p.m.

Sept. 11 – A 27-year-old female student reported that an unknown person took her secured bike from the rack outside of Sansom East College House at around 1:30 p.m.

Sept. 11 – A 26-year-old male Penn employee reported that an unknown person took his unsecured laptop from underneath his desk at Steinberg-Deitrich Hall at around 11:45 a.m.

Sept. 10 – Police received a call from a 22-year-old female student that a bike theft was in progress at the 4000 block of Spruce Street at around 1:45 a.m. Police were able to identify the suspects.

Sept. 9 – A 36-year-old unaffiliated female reported that an unknown person took property from the trunk of her car near Sitar Indian Restaurant on 60 S. 38th Street at around 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 9 – Police received a call from an unaffiliated female for a bike theft in progress at the 3900 block of Pine Street at around 5 a.m. Police were able to identify suspects.

Sept. 7 – A 21-year-old male student reported that his cell phone was taken after having guests visit his apartment around 40th and Sansom streets at around 1:30 p.m.

Sept. 7 – A 37-year-old unaffiliated male reported that an unknown person removed used cooking oil from a 55-gallon drum outside of New Delhi restaurant on 4004 Chestnut Street around noon.
