The body of College senior Kenneth Nwannunu is being returned to the United States, according to University officials.
Nwannunu passed away last Wednesday while studying abroad in Shanghai.
“The family has asked that the body be returned ... and our understanding is that process could take a week,” University spokesperson Lori Doyle said.
She added that any autopsy will be ordered by the family once the body is back in the country, and it will be up to them “whether they share the results or not.”
The University will share details about a funeral service with the community once a time and location is known.
