Theft

Feb. 20 - Eugene Chakejian, 39, unaffiliated with the University and of the 900 block of Meadow Creek, Chester Springs, Pa., was arrested at about 12:15 a.m. for allegedly attempting to leave Wawa, located at 3744 Spruce St., without paying for merchandise valued at about $40.

Feb. 20 - William Hollis, 38, unaffiliated with the University and of the 1100 block of South 18th Street, was arrested at about 10:15 a.m. for allegedly breaking into the window of the vehicle of a man, 62, unaffiliated with the University, and removing loose change that was left in plain sight.

Feb. 21 - An unattended laptop belonging to Van Pelt Library, located at 3420 Walnut St., was reported taken from there at about 7 p.m. by an unknown suspect.

Feb. 21 - Two male students, 19 and 21, reported at about 7:45 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed a bicycle and laptop from their residence, located on the 3900 block of Spruce Street.

Feb. 21 - A man unaffiliated with the University reported at about 10:30 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed his GPS device, left in plain view, from his secured vehicle on the 4200 block of Chester Street.

Feb. 21 - A female student, 21, reported at about midnight that while at a party, located on the 4000 block of Pine Street, an unknown suspect removed her unattended iPod and credit cards. Feb. 22 - Thomas Hicks, 25, unaffiliated with the University and of the 3000 block of Amber Street, and James Currin, 45, unaffiliated with the University and of the 1800 block of East Tusculum Street, were arrested for leaving Douglas Cosmetics, located at 3603 Walnut St., at about 1 p.m. and Eastern Mountain Sports, located at 3401 Chestnut St., at about 1:15 p.m. without paying for merchandise at either location.

Feb. 23 - A woman unaffiliated with the University, 39, reported at about 10:15 a.m. that an unknown suspect removed various items from her unattended purse on the 300 block of South 34th Street.

Feb. 24 - A female student, 28, reported at about 11:45 a.m. that her unattended wallet was removed from Saxby's Coffee House, located at 4000 Locust St., by an unknown suspect.

Feb. 24 - A woman unaffiliated with the University, 68, reported at about 2 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed various items from her purse at Presbyterian Hospital.

Feb. 25 - A female juvenile, 17, was arrested at about 3 p.m. for allegedly attempting to leave Urban Outfitters, located at 110 S. 36th St., without paying.

Feb. 25 - A female student, 20, reported at about 9:15 p.m. that her wallet and iPod were removed from her jacket that was left unattended behind her chair at Chipotle, located at 3925 Walnut St.

Feb. 25 - A woman unaffiliated with the University, 19, reported at about 10:15 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed her unattended wallet from Saxby's and later made fraudulent charges.

Feb. 26 - A female student, 32, reported at about 4:15 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed her wallet from her unattended backpack at Greek Lady, located at 224 S. 40th St.

Fraud

Feb. 23 - Mark Carroll, 49, unaffiliated with the University and of the 8000 block of Buist Avenue, was arrested for allegedly attempting to make a purchase at Radio Shack, located at 212 S. 40th St., using a fraudulent check.
