Jesse Carlin's career as a Penn athlete may be over, but the awards keep piling on.
Yesterday, the outgoing senior was named to the ESPN the Magazine track and field Academic All-America team.
She earned Indoor All-America honors twice in March, butfell just short of achieving that status in the Outdoor Championships two weeks ago.
After winning in the 800-meter event in the Heptagonal Championships, the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference meet and the NCAA East Regional, Carlin fell a few seconds shy of making the final heat at nationals.
She graduates with five school records individually and seven as part of relay teams.
