Theft

Oct. 4 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that at about 1:00 a.m., an unknown suspect took the contents from his unattended knapsack at the McDonalds located at 3935 Walnut St.

Oct. 4 - A webcam was reported to be taken by an unknown suspect at Huntsman Hall, located at 3730 Walnut St., at about 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 4 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect removed his unattended laptop at the Starbucks located at 132 S. 34th St. at about 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 4 - An unknown suspect was reported to have removed several pieces of merchandise from the Douglas Parfumerie, located at 3603 Walnut St., without paying, at about 6:00 p.m.

Oct. 4 - An unknown suspect was reported to have removed medicine from a medical code cart at Presbyterian Hospital at 51 N. 39th St. at about 8:30 a.m.

Oct. 3 - A female student reported that, at about 12:00 p.m., an unknown person took her unattended laptop, phone and personal items that were in a bag at Addams Hall, located at 202 S. 36th St.

Oct. 3 - An unknown suspect was reported leaving Ann Taylor Loft, located at 133 36th St., at about 12:00 p.m. without paying for several pieces of merchandise.

Oct. 3 - James Thomas, 23, of the 8400 block of Williams Ave., and Neil Holmes, 23, of the 1100 block of East Pike St. were arrested by Penn Police at about 12:30 p.m. for allegedly attempting to leave the Penn Bookstore, located at 3601 Walnut St., without paying.

Oct. 3 - An unknown suspect was reported to have removed a display laptop from the Computer Connection, located at 3610 Sansom St., at about 1:00 p.m.

Oct. 3 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that he left his unsecured bike outside the 4000 block of Walnut Street. When he returned at about 9:45 a.m., the bike had been taken by an unknown suspect.

Oct. 2 - Eddie Washington, 35, was arrested after a Penn Police office witnessed him attempting to remove a bike from the 4000 block of Baltimore Avenue at about 9:40 p.m.

Oct. 2 - A male employee reported that an unknown suspect removed his unattended laptop from an unsecured room at the Translational Research Lab, located at 125 S. 31st St., at about 9:45 a.m.

Oct. 1 - A male student reported that at about 1:45 p.m., his unattended laptop was removed by an unknown suspect at Cosi, located at 140 S. 36th St.

Oct. 1 - A female unaffiliated with the University reported that at about 7:15 p.m., an unknown suspect broke into his vehicle at Garage 37, located at 34th and Chestnut streets, and removed several items.

Oct. 1 - A female student reported that at about 8:45 p.m., an unknown suspect removed her unattended bag, which was hanging from the back of a chair at White Dog Cafe, located at 3420 Sansom St.

Sept. 30 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect removed his unattended laptop from the University Lutheran Church, at 3637 Chestnut St., at about 12:15 p.m.

Sept. 30 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect removed his bike, secured with two cable locks, from the 300 block of 42nd Street at about 4:40 p.m.

Sept. 29 - A female reported that an unknown suspect removed a computer from a secured area at Harrison College House, located at 3910 Irving St., at about 10:00 a.m.

Sept. 28 - A female employee reported that an unknown suspect removed money from a metal box within an office at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located at 3400 Spruce St., at about 9:45 a.m.

Sept. 28 - A male student reported that an unknown suspect broke a window to his vehicle at about 2:15 p.m. at the 4100 block of Woodland Street and removed several electronic items and accessories.

Assault

Sept. 28 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that he was stopped in traffic at about 7:00 p.m. at the 4000 block of Walnut St. when an unknown suspect, while pulling his vehicle out of a parking space, almost struck the complainant's car. The complainant and the suspect proceeded to get into a verbal altercation when the suspect punched the complainant in the face and fled in his vehicle westbound on Walnut Street.

Narcotics

Sept. 28 - Miguel Sanchez, 41, of the 1400 block of Paxon St. was arrested by Penn Police on the 4000 block of Ludlow at about 1:00 a.m. for allegedly being in possession of marijuana.

Fraud

Oct. 2 - A female student reported that she received fraudulent travelers' checks at the Stouffer Triangle, located at 3715 Woodland Walk, at about 9:30 p.m.
