Theft
Mar. 29 - A male student, 22, reported that his bicycle, valued at about $150, was removed from a bike rack outside the McNeil Building, located at 3718 Locust Walk, at about 6:10 p.m.
Mar. 29 - A female student, 23, reported that her bicycle was stolen from a bike rack outside of Williams Hall, located at 255 S. 36th St., at about 9:50 p.m.
Mar. 28 - A female employee, 36, reported that her bicycle was removed from a bike rack outside of Williams Hall at about 7:30 p.m.
Mar. 28 - A female complainant, 77 and unaffiliated with the University, reported that her purse was taken while on an elevator in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at about 2:30 p.m.
Mar. 28 - A female student, 19, reported that her wallet was removed from her purse, which was hanging on a chair behind her, in Houston Hall at about 10 p.m.
Mar. 27 - A male employee, 40, reported that his laptop was removed from the basement of the Castor Building, located at 3715 Locust Walk, at about 9:30 a.m.
Mar. 27 - A male employee reported that his laptop was removed from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, located at 3401 Civic Center Blvd., at an unknown date and time.
Mar. 27 - A female complainant reported that her bicycle, valued at about $1,300, was removed from a bike rack outside of Hill College House, located at 3333 Walnut St., at about 10:40 a.m.
Mar. 27 - Tyrone Rice, 38, of the 4800 block of Marshall Street and unaffiliated with the University, was arrested after he was observed allegedly removing a computer from the Computer Connection, located at 3610 Sansom St. Rice was confronted by the store manager and fled; he was apprehended by Penn Police.
Mar. 26 - Steven Leitner, 22, of Lafayette, Calif., and unaffiliated with the University, was arrested after allegedly attempting to leave the Penn Bookstore without rendering payment for a box of DVDs.
Mar. 25 - A male student, 19, reported that his bicycle was removed from a bike rack outside of Hill College House at about 6:15 p.m.
Mar. 25 - A female student reported that her unattended laptop was removed from the Law School, located at 3443 Sansom St., at about 7:45 p.m.
Mar. 24 - A female student, 19, reported that her unattended pocketbook was removed from a table at Copabanana, located at 4000 Spruce St., at about 5:30 p.m.
Mar. 23 - A female employee reported that her wallet was removed from an unlocked workstation at Presbyterian Hospital, located at 51 N. 39th St.
Vandalism
Mar 26 - Eugene Briggs, 51, of the 4000 block of Ludlow Street and unaffiliated with the University, was taken into custody after allegedly breaking a window, valued at about $800, with his forearm at Smokey Joe's.
