All charges have been dropped against College senior Bryan Warner, who was charged with attempted murder earlier this year.
The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office dropped the case after the complainant failed to report to court on three separate occasions.
Police had alleged that Warner shot a man in the thigh at a deli at 52nd and Spruce streets on the afternoon of Jan. 26.
Warner was identified in a photo line-up by the victim and another witness.
Richard Harris, Warner's lawyer, said that it is unlikely that prosecutors will search for other suspects in the case, and that the complainant likely knows his real attacker.
He added that Penn Division of Public Safety video surveillance tapes could have proved Warner was on campus at the time of the shooting.
