Cannibalism
- April 1 -- A 26-year-old woman was reportedly killed and eaten in her apartment at 4201 Walnut St. at around 7:30 p.m. The victim was slated to speak at Penn's 250th Commencement this May. Witnesses described the assailant as a white male in his late 60s, 5 feet 8 inches with little to no hair. He reportedly answers to 'Dr. Lecter' and was last seen purchasing a can of fava beans and a bottle of Chianti at the Fresh Grocer the night before.
Other Crimes
- March 30 -- A 52-year-old man was arrested at about 5 p.m. and charged with violation of the Good Samaritan law after he allegedly taunted high school seniors who were rejected from Penn that afternoon. Few details have been released, but Penn Police said that the phrases "you're a dumbass" and "nice try, loser" were used repeatedly. Dean of Admissions Lee Stetson was arrested and is now awaiting bail at 55th and Pine streets.
