Former Penn forward Chubb signs with Nets

Forward Adam Chubb, who graduated from Penn in 2004, signed with the New Jersey Nets last Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not released.

Chubb was a key bench player on the 2002-03 Ivy League championship team that fell to Oklahoma State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 4.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game that year.

He moved to the starting lineup in his senior season. That year, he averaged 10.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

W. Tennis still going at ITA Invitational

Because of the rain that fell on New York on Saturday, the Penn women's tennis team only got its doubles matches in that day.

The team of Caroline Stanislawski and Sara Schiffman were the only team to compile a winning record in Saturday's play, going 2-1 on the day.

The team of Yulia Rivelis and Michelle Mitchell went 1-2, as did Julia Koulbitskaya and Alexis Plukas, and Lauren Sadaka and Ashley Lostritto.

The tournament finishes today.

W. Golf tournament canceled due to rain

The women's golf tournament scheduled to take place this weekend was canceled because of rain.

The Bucknell Invitational was scheduled to be the team's last tournament of the fall and will not be rescheduled.

W. Soccer announces time change for Wed.

The women's soccer game against Temple will be played at 3 p.m. at Rhodes Field, not 7 p.m.
