Crime Report

Robbery

July 8 -- A female graduate student was robbed at 42nd and Spruce streets at approximately 10:21 p.m. by a male who demanded "everything" and then fled east by foot on Spruce Street. The suspect is still at large.

Theft

July 12 -- An unidentified person broke into an automobile parked at 39th and Walnut streets at about 9:47 a.m. and took a Sony CD/cassette player valued at $120.

July 12 -- A female unaffiliated with the University reported that she was pick-pocketed on an elevator at 34th and Spruce streets at approximately 4:24 p.m. She reported her checkbook, valued at $12, missing.

July 12 -- An automobile was broken into at approximately 5:46 p.m. at 32nd and South streets. The windows were broken, and $10 cash and a tape recorder valued at $140 were taken.

July 12 -- A female, whose affiliation with the University is unknown, reported that a male, described as wearing a grey T-shirt and khaki pants, took her bank card and $5 from the 3700 block of Ludlow Street at about 11:10 p.m. The incident was handled by city police.

July 11 -- A female student was arrested at about 4:34 p.m. for stealing a textbook and lip gloss, valued at $97.34, from the Penn Bookstore, located at 3601 Walnut St.

July 11 -- A male unaffiliated with the University reported that the rear window of his car was broken and approximately $5 in change was stolen at 42nd and Locust streets at approximately 6:25 p.m.

Auto Theft

July 9 -- A female staff member reported that an unknown person stole her 1990 Honda Accord from Lot 7 at 3220 South St. at approximately 3:07 p.m.
