Car bursts into flames in front of Huntsman Hall
A Pontiac Grand Am with New Jersey license plates caught on fire in front of Huntsman Hall on Walnut Street yesterday evening at approximately 5 p.m.
The fire apparently started in the vehicle's engine, melting the front tires and scorching the hood of the car, according to University Police. The fire department quickly responded and doused the car in water, after which only one police officer remained at the scene as a precaution.
Police said the cause of the fire was unknown, and no injuries were incurred.
