Police respond to Billybob's call Both Philadelphia and University Police departments responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance at Billybob, a bar located at the corner of 40th and Spruce streets, at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday night. However, neither police department had a record of the incident yesterday, indicating that officers found no disturbance at the scene when they responded to the call. Billybob's owner Tom Brassell said that "it was probably a crank call," but could not identify the source of the phone call. Police also checked the apartments above the bar, but did not find any problems. "There was no bar fight," Brassell said. "The police came, asked a few questions and left pretty much right away. There was nothing." He added that there has not been a fight inside Billybob in over two and a half years. -- Josh Gordon
