Assault
Feb. 8 -- Joman Dixon, a 24-year-old male unaffiliated with the University, was arrested for assault after allegedly striking another male in the face. The complainant suffered a cut eye and a bruised cheek. The incident allegedly occurred at a carwash located at 4100 Chestnut Street. The offender fled the scene but was pursued by University Police and arrested at 29th and Chestnut streets. Feb. 8 -- Gloria Ford, a female unaffiliated with the University, was arrested for assault after allegedly striking a University City District Safety Ambassador in the face. The incident allegedly occurred at approximately midnight at the 7-Eleven located at 4201 Walnut Street.Burglary
Feb. 12 -- Vog, a hair salon located at the Left Bank, reported that the lock mechanism on the building's door was pulled out and the salon was ransacked. Nothing was reported missing. Feb. 12 -- The Campus Chemist reported the theft of phones, hair trimmers and Remington shavers valued at $1,745 as well as $260 in currency from the store located at 3716 Spruce Street.Theft
Feb. 12 -- Tamika Davis, a 28-year-old female unaffiliated with the University, was arrested for the theft of eight bottles of hand lotion from the Fresh Grocer, at 4001 Walnut Street, at around 2:45 p.m. When security guards initially approached Davis regarding the alleged theft, a male who was with her displayed a handgun. Davis and the male, who is also unaffiliated with the University, fled the scene on bikes and Davis was apprehended at 39th and Wallace streets. The unidentified male was not apprehended. Feb. 11 -- The Sheraton University City, located at 3549 Chestnut Street, reported the theft of a Dell laptop computer valued at $1,500 from an unsecured board room.Theft from auto
Feb. 10 -- A female employee of the University reported the theft of a suitcase filled with clothing valued at $250 from her Volvo, which was parked in lot 5 of the Palestra at approximately 5 p.m. She reported that the rear window of the car was smashed. Feb. 8 -- A male affiliated with the University reported the theft of a portable CD player valued at $30 from his Chevy Blazer.
