Dining Services offers student scholarships Full-time students currently on a Dining Services meal plan and who have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average are eligible to compete for the scholarships, which offer $4,000 to the first-place recipient and $2,000 to the second-place winner. The scholarships -- which are sponsored by outside grants -- will be awarded on the basis of academic ability, financial need and a one-page essay concerning the impact of nutrition at the University and how Dining Services fulfills students' nutritional needs, according to Marketing and Meal Contract Coordinator Adam Sherr. Scholarship applications are available at the cashier booths of each Dining Hall, as well as in the Dining Services Contracts Office. Students must complete and turn in applications by April 25. Scholarship recipients will be announced by May 5. -- Tammy Reiss
