To the Editor: Even more troubling was the reporter's interrogation of Dan Sloane about my friendship with him. It appears that the reporter is under the impression a straight person and a gay person can not be friends without any related problems. The decision to include Sloane's response has absolutely no relevance to the opening reception. I hope that the reporter can one day understand the foundations of friendships, and I invite everyone to attend some of this week's B-GLAD events so they can overcome any misconceptions they might have about homosexuals in our society.
