Compiled by DP sports staff Brown went undefeated in the 200 butterfly during the season and lost just once in the 200 freestyle, at the Eastern Championships. The Penn junior won the Eastern championship in the 500 freestyle, beating All-American Brian Younger of Harvard for the title. Brown also finished second in the 200 freestyle at Easterns. During the season, Brown posted conference-best times in both the 500 freestyle (4 minutes, 23.69 seconds) and the 200 butterfly (1:48.83). The NCAA championships begin Thursday at the University of Texas at Austin. Brown is a native of Sugarland, Tx.
