Thompkins, Columbia Thompkins earned player of the week honors for the second time this season after scoring 52 points, hauling in nine boards, recording four assists, swatting one shot, and swiping three steals in Colum bia's two wins last weekend. Thompkins tied the school record for 3-pointers made in a game (7) on consecutive nights. On the weekend, the junior guard was 14-of-22 (.636) from beyond the arc. Thompkins also had two excellent games on defense, holding Brown's Eric Blackiston and Yale's Gabe Hunterton to two points combined. Rookie of the Week: Gary Raimondo, Columbia For the third straight week and fourth time this season, Raimondo claimed the league's top rookie honor. The freshman guard's numbers looked like this in Columbia's first Ivy weekend road sweep since the 1992-93 season: 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists and five steals. Broken down, Raimondo had 10 points, four rebounds and two steals at Yale, and 11 points and five rebounds at Brown.
