The Daily Pennsylvanian's 1995 Male Athlete of the Year award goes to Miles Macik, who capped off one of the greatest receiving careers in Penn history in 1995. His 68 receptions and 817 yards earned him a spot on the first-team All-Ivy squad for the third consecutive season. He was also selected to AFCA Coaches' All-America team and the ECAC Division I-AA Football All-Star first team. The NFL hopeful's 138 career receptions are an all-time Ivy League record. Heather Glick, a senior captain for the Penn volleyball team this past season, is the DP's Female Athlete of the Year. Glick finished as the all-time assist leader in Penn history. She led the Quakers in assists, aces and digs this season, and led Penn to upsets in the first two rounds of the Ivy League tournament. Bob Seddon, the DP's Coach of the Year, celebrated his 25th season as the Penn baseball coach by leading the Quakers to the NCAA tournament, Penn's first appearance since 1990. Penn won the Ivy League's Gehrig Division, topped Rolfe Division-winner Yale for the Ivy League championship, then hung tough against superior competition in dropping two close games in the NCAAs.
