Compiled by DP Sports Staff Hurlbut replaces Greg Shea, who resigned in January to pursue opportunities with a public relations firm. Hurlbut will supervise the Northwestern media services staff and also serve as the primary media contact for football and men's basketball. Hurlbut has been the Director of Athletic Communications at Penn for two years. During that time he has coordinated media coverage of a 32-sport program and served as press chief for the prestigious Penn Relay Carnival held annually in April. "We'll miss him. He did a great job," assistant athletic director Fran Connors said. The search for a replacement for Hurlbut has not yet gotten underway. Connors did not know when one would be selected. "We haven't sat down to discuss how to find a replacement," he said.
