'Nude Olympics' held this week Students will be baring it all this week as part of a promotion for Saturday's basketball game against Princeton. The events, which are sponsored by the Class Boards, will be held on Locust Walk as part of the "Nude Olympics." There will be different competitions to raise school spirit every day this week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. "The Naturist Society -- the guys who run around naked -- agreed to support us," said Senior Class President Loren Mendell, a College student, in explanation on why the event is entitled the "Nude Olympics." -- Melissa Wagenberg Houston Hall evacuated Houston Hall staff evacuated the building twice yesterday, after heat from a Burger King broiler activated the sprinklers in the restaurant. At approximately 11 a.m., Burger King staff members were moving the broiler when it set off the Houston Hall fire alarms and the sprinklers in Burger King, Associate Director of Student Life, Activities and Facilities Thomas Hauber said yesterday. Three hours later, the fire alarms went off again while the University's plumbers were attempting to fix the problem. Both times, Houston Hall officials evacuated the entire building. The first, more serious situation forced staff, patrons and others outside for almost an hour, Hauber said. The second evacuation only lasted five minutes. The building was reopened at approximately 3:30 p.m. Water from the sprinklers did not do any damage, with the exception of some ruined food. And although water did seep into Discovery Discs, located across the hall, nothing was damaged there either. According to Burger King Manager Karen Harris, the problem has never occurred before. -- Randi Feigenbaum
