IN BRIEF: Advanced registration begins

Advanced registration begins The advanced registration period for spring semester begins today for all students and will continue through Sunday, Nov. 14. All students on academic or financial hold must clear their obligations before they will be allowed to register. For College freshmen, faculty advisor waivers must be turned in to the College office before registering. Students can register at any point during the two-week period before class requests will be processed. Official second semester schedules will be sent out to students in late November or early December. --Kara Blond Penn's Way to kick off campaign Penn's Way will kick off its first campaign with a celebration this morning including a complimentary continental breakfast. Penn's Way, which solicits donations from University employees on behalf of several charity organizations, will continue the annual campaign through January. Last year, the campaign raised $370,000 for 16 organizations, with 40 percent of University employees donating to the campaign. The celebration will take place at 9 a.m. at the Alumni Hall in the Faculty Club. --Randi Feigenbaum
