EDITORIAL: Welcome Back

A new year, a new beginningA new year, a new beginning____________________________ The summer has ended, leaving memories of peeling noses, paper-pushing Washington internships and/or suburban boredom in its lazy wake. Fall always comes almost as quickly as summer goes? But now that we're really here, we find the year stretching ahead of us brimming with potential. We're living in possibility -- because so far, anything can happen. With a new administration in town, the University is ripe for change; Judith Rodin and Stanley Chodorow, with their vigor, enthusiasm and experience, may give us just that. We wish the two of them luck, along with all members of the faculty and staff, at making this year all they want it to be. And new and old students: good luck making the most of this year's clean slate. After all, you haven't even picked that hideous poster for your wall that you'll kick yourself for in November. The Quakers haven't lost a single game yet (not that they will). And those fall semester grades are not yet firmly embedded in PARIS -- there's still hope.
