The University announced its search for an affirmative action director in four publications this month. Associate Director of the Office of the President Linda Hyatt said a committee of students, faculty and administrators will review the applications. The search committee is looking for "someone with a strong commitment to affirmative action goals," Hyatt said. President-elect Judith Rodin will investigate all applicants recommended by the search committee. Hyatt said it is "too early to say" when an affirmative action director will be selected. Until a new director is found, Acting Director Sharon Harris will continue to head the program. -- Jorie Green
