Scheduled to speak at the conference are Violeta Barrios de Chamorro, president of Nicaragua, Luis Donald Colosio, University alumnus and a candidate for the presidency of Mexico, Jaime Yoshiyama, president of the National Congress of Peru, as well as several other notable figures. The conference has been designed as "an opportunity to learn about Latin America's development from some of the most prominent leaders of the region," a press release states. The scheduled seminars will focus on political and economic issues in Latin America and will include several finance and management panels featuring representatives of leading business firms.
