Compiled by DP Sports Staff Murphy just finished an 8-3 season with the Bearcats, their best season since 1976 and their first winning record since 1982. Overall with Cincinnati, Murphy went 17-37-1 with losing records his first four seasons. Prior to his stint at Cincinnati, Murphy served under Buddy Teevens at Maine before becoming head coach for the Black Bears. In his two seasons at the helm for Maine, the Black Bears went 8-4 and 7-4 A 1978 graduate of Springfield College, Murphy played linebacker. His first coaching job was with Brown as offensive line coach in 1979 and 1980. Restic, a 1952 graduate of Villanova, was 117-97-6 at Harvard and 15-8 against Penn. Under Restic the Crimson captured five Ivy League titles, the most recent in 1987. This season Harvard finished 3-7 overall (1-6 Ivy League) to share last place with Columbia.
