Marketing Professor Scott Ward was free last night, following his arrest this weekend on charges that he solicited sex from young boys. Sources told the station that Ward asked an undercover state trooper to locate young males for him. Ward, who has been a Wharton School professor since 1979, has denied the charge. He is free on $50,000 bail. Ward and Michael Marino, the Montgomery County District Attorney, could not be reached for comment late last night. Before coming to the University, Ward was an associate professor at Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration for 10 years. For a year prior to that, he was an assistant professor in the University of Washington School of Communications. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as a doctorate, from the University of Wisconsin. - Joshua Goldwert
