Today at noon in the Kings Court/English House dining area, Constan will have his first open lunch for students who wish to "speak their minds" to an administrator. "The plan is to chat about student concerns," Constan said. "It will be terribly informal, but I want to give people the feeling that someone is listening and that someone cares." Constan said his informal lunches, which will be a regular weekly event, are part of the interim administration's strategy to involve students. He said he will take student concerns back to Interim President Claire Fagin. Fagin, who asked Constan to be her "extension" at these lunches, said she hopes she might be able to attend some of the midday meals. "It's all part of the 'building the community' theme," Fagin said. – Cara Tanamachi
