Alvin Shoemaker, chairperson of the Board of Trustees, said in the May 4 Almanac that he hopes the Consultative Committee will submit a list of at least three recommendations to the Executive Committee by October. The Executive Committee will then make recommendations to the full board, which will elect the next president. The committee consists of eight Trustees, seven faculty members and four students. The faculty representatives are: English Professor Houston Baker, Law Professor Stephen Burbank, History Professor Drew Faust, Animal Biology Professor Peter Hand, Statistics Professor and past-Faculty Senate Chairperson David Hildebrand, Nursing Professor Barbara Lowery and Neurology Professor Donald Silberberg. The students are College junior June Bang, College junior Sharon Molinoff, and two graduate students, Susan Garfinkel and Douglas Thamm. -- Scott Calvert
