Recipients include Miriam Ben-Porat, comptroller general of Israel and former Israeli Supreme Court justice; Jeanne Quint Benoliel, an emeritus professor at the University of Washington who is an expert on death and dying issues in health care; Alfred Gellhorn, director of medical affairs for the New York State Department of Health and former dean of the University's Medical School; Ralph Landau, a University Trustee and a chemical engineering technology expert; and William Julius Wilson, a sociologist and expert on urban poverty at the University of Chicago. -- Scott Calvert
