The efforts of the UA and other groups prove timely, especially in wake of the recent budget cuts from Harrisburg. Students must take advantage of the few times when their voices will be heard, after all, 1000 votes can speak louder than 1000 letters to the state capitol. Registering in Pennsylvania is important if you plan to spend the next few years here. But, if you prefer to remain registered in your home state, be sure to get an absentee ballot. Two booths, mannd by members of different organizations each day, will be set up on Locust Walk during the next two weeks, and registration cards are available all over campus. Take a couple of minutes to register, and become an instant participant in the sport of voting. Incidentally, we are glad the UA is working to unite student groups in this effort. Hopefully, success in this venture will propel the UA to take a stand on the recent Escort Service changes and other pressing issues that currently concern their student constituents. After all, UA elections are just seven months away.
