Led by Wharton junior and DP President Dane Greisiger, the 137th board consists of 26 student leaders who are ready to take charge amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Greisiger and his team plan to devote their board terms to driving indispensable news coverage as well as facilitating the success of the organization's student staffers.

Collectively, Greisiger, Pintado-Urbanc, and Ahn will make up the "big three" leaders of the company. Together, they aim to improve representation of diverse communities in news coverage as well as within the organization.

While we will not be printing this semester, we remain more committed than ever to our digital product. Expect to see engaging new digital projects, enterprise stories, photos, and videos that will capture what it means to be a Penn student during a global pandemic.

Rising Wharton sophomore Jerry Sun was killed in a car accident in Colorado on July 25, according to a email sent Monday morning to undergraduates by Associate Vice Provost for University Life Sharon Smith on behalf of Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Wendell Pritchett.

We will be printing the DP this semester, with 34th Street Magazine as an insert, once a week on Thursdays.

For too long, the DP has failed to lift up the voices of Black students, and make sure their unique experiences and perspectives are heard and valued. We have also failed to make sure our staff represents the diversity of the student body at Penn. With such a large platform on campus, we must do better.

Bisexual people have trouble finding their place in straight circles without being fetishized or objectified, and in LGBTQ spaces they are thought of as only partially queer. As a result, I usually feel uncomfortable in my own skin no matter where I am.
