Wharton Women’s old website now features women in a more risque form of business. After failing to renew ownership in time, the club’s domain was purchased by a new company and the link now directs to a Russian pornography site.

According to club president and Wharton sophomore Audrey Goldberg, the domain Wharton-women.com expired and the company that owns the Russian pornography site bought the domain before Wharton Women got a chance to renew ownership.

Wharton Women is currently “in contact with legal counsel and are trying very hard to remedy the situation," Goldberg said in an email to The Daily Pennsylvanian. "There is nothing to tell besides they bought an expired domain."

The club is trying to “preserve its image” and distance itself from the mishap to prevent any tarnishing of its reputation as a paid-member organization, she added.

Both the Philadelphia Inquirer and Under The Button have reported on the new content of the site.

According to Goldberg and the Inquirer, the club has since purchased a new domain and the Wharton Women webpage can now be found at whartonwomen-penn.com.
