Students at Penn’s approximately 40 fraternities and sororities that have houses can choose to live within their Greek house after their freshman year. For some freshmen, though, the decision as to whether to “go Greek” for housing has been a confusing one.

This past Sunday, the Muslim Students Association hosted their ninth annual Family Fair. On a windy, temperate afternoon, more than 300 people from Philadelphia neighborhoods gathered on Rodin Field near 40th Street for a few hours of friends and entertainment.

In culmination of Africa Fest Week, Penn students gathered to promote African culture and raise awareness about their activities on campus. The event showcased several performers, including Penn a capella group PAPA and Rafiya’s African soul band from Philadelphia.

The Center for the Advanced Study of India is celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout 2012. This yearlong celebration is an exploration of “two decades of transformations” in India and the center, according to CASI Director Devesh Kapur.

The Undergraduate Assembly filled out the remainder of its executive board late Thursday night, with College sophomore Will Smith, College junior Jake Shuster and College freshman Joyce Kim winning internal elections for the positions of speaker, treasurer and secretary, respectively.
