After 30 minutes of play in front of Lafayette's homecoming crowd, the Quakers are on top, 14-10.

In the first matchup of the two teams since 1983, Penn football has gotten off on the right foot against No. 20 Delaware. The Quakers lead the Blue Hens by a score of 14-7 at halftime. 

The Quakers been able to slow down Princeton’s record-setting offense at all, which has compiled 355 total yards in only 30 minutes.

On the ensuing possession, Harvard kept the ball on the ground with sophomore running back Aaron Shampklin, who had 81 rushing yards on 14 attempts. Shampklin was elusive all half long, and currently leads the Ivy League in rushing.

One half into the battle for the Trustee’s Cup, the best seems yet to come. Penn football trails Cornell, 7-3, on a chilly night in New York. 

With rain pouring down and the field a muddy swamp, Penn football leads Brown 13-0 at the half. The Nor’easter is having a huge effect on the game, causing both offenses to be both literally and figuratively stuck in the mud.

A lot will need to go right for the Red and Blue in the final 30 minutes if the Quakers are to stay alive in the Ancient Eight title race.

Just a few days after former teammate Alek Torgersen signed with the Detroit Lions practice squad, tight end Ryan O’Malley has been added to an active roster. The 2016 graduate was a captain and two-time All-Ivy honoree with the Quakers, and scored a total of nine touchdowns in his 40 career games. 

In the recently released Ivy League Preseason Football Poll, media from around the Ancient Eight predicted the final standings for the upcoming season. The results: Princeton and Harvard tied for first, with Penn coming in a close third.

Former Penn football quarterback Alek Torgersen saw his first NFL action on August 10, stepping in under center for the Atlanta Falcons in a preseason Thursday night game against the Miami Dolphins.

Rising junior and defending first team All-Ivy cornerback Mason Williams led the Ancient Eight with six interceptions in a breakout sophomore season, but the rising star is taking his talents to the ACC.

Lights! Camera! Penn football? After it’s second straight shared Ivy League championship in 2016, Penn football will once again be in the spotlight in 2017 with nine of the team’s games scheduled to be televised. 

But while there aren’t many questions regarding who will take the field when the 2017 season rolls around, it’s no secret that one uncertainty still hangs over the squad, one that by and large may determine whether Penn can turn its three-peat dreams into a reality — who’s going to be calling the shots on offense?

Penn football, women’s soccer, and field hockey all recently released their fall 2017 schedules. The Quakers are looking forward to a competitive and successful season across the athletics department. 

After one year at Penn, quarterback Michael Collins has announced his transfer to FBS Texas Christian University. As the heir apparent to Torgersen, Collins was expected to take the reins behind center in the program’s quest for a third straight Ivy Championship. Instead, he heads to Fort Worth to join an already crowded quarterback room.

While finals were ending and seniors were preparing for their last goodbyes at graduation, the Penn football team began a new era by announcing the incoming class of 2021.

Many expected Torgersen to be drafted, at least in the last round on Saturday, but the senior quarterback had to watch on as all 253 picks were revealed without his name in them. He was ranked by ESPN as the 10th best quarterback prospect — 10 quarterbacks were drafted, including those ranked one through nine, and number 11.
