Getting out the vote To the Editor: "Gone but not forgotten," Mara Gordon's column (DP, 2/1/07), ignores the tremendous past and present success of the Penn Democrats. With a little research, Ms. Gordon would have learned that the Penn Democrats are one of the most active collegiate political organizations in the country - and one of few that have tangibly affected an election.
As aesthetically pleasing as the high-rise chairs may be, it shouldn't come at the cost of fiscal transparency.

There's nothing like rushing into the season. After its first match against Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, the men's tennis team will play two more this weekend, beginning with Central Flordia tonight. KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - Economics professor Rafael Robb will stand trial on charges of first- and third-degree murder, District Judge William Maruszczak ruled at a preliminary hearing yesterday afternoon. The court also upheld Robb's Jan. 8 charges of possessing an instrument of crime - though no weapon has been found as of yet - and tampering with and falsifying evidence. Robb, 56, who has consistently denied involvement in the murder, is being held without bail until the trial.

It might not have rivaled The Line, but at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday an unmistakable sight appeared outside of the Palestra. Ninety minutes before the Penn men's basketball team tipped off against Saint Joseph's - and 30 minutes before the gates opened - fans were lined up, braving the cold as they waited to get inside.
