Sen. Arlen Specter emphasized his ideological ties to President Barack Obama at a town hall meeting held at Houston Hall on Friday. Specter is up for re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

Elections for the freshman Class Board and the freshman members of the Undergraduate Assembly passed with no violations yesterday. Freshmen could vote online until Friday at 5 p.m.

The Bulldogs (11-1, 1-0 Ivy) are off to an even better start this year, and will try to avoid a repeat when Penn (10-4, 1-0) visits Saturday for a 4 p.m. matchup. The Quakers’ road trip begins tonight with a 7 p.m. contest against Brown.

The Quakers (1-2, 1-0 Ivy) will rely heavily on running back Lyle Marsh and their ground game Saturday when the team hosts Bucknell (3-2, 1-0 Patriot).

The School of Nursing’s fundraising campaign is on its way to reaching its conclusion and its $75 million target. The campaign has already raised $69 million for projects in the school.
